Pictured dead on paved road within a 1.5 mile radius of the Severn Estuary Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and Special Protection Area (SPA), under the European Union Directive on the Conservation of Wild Birds. Aust is a unique area of Special Scientific Interest (SSI) displaying an array of evidence from a geological and historical epoch. Human interference, per contra, is intrusively visual upon the ever changing natural landscape. This disparity is best understood through examining sections of a vast landscape as part of a narrative, casting humans as geological and geomorphological pawns in transforming the land.
